2. What do you mean by Peripheral Devices ? Explain various input-output devices used in computer system.7

3. Differentiate between :
    (i) RAM and ROM.
    (ii) Primary memory and Secondary memory
    (iii) Main memory and cache memory
4. Draw and explain memory hierarchy with a neat diagram.
Section-C7 each
5. What is Operating System ? Explain its various characteristics. Also enumerate and explain various types of operating systems.
6. (a) What is Formatting ? How it differs from data deletion from a disk?
    (b) Write and explain any three DOS commands.
Section-D7 each
7. (a) What is Parallelism ? How can one achieve it ? Explain.
    (b) Discuss various issues in processor design.
8. (a) Explain multi-processor design organization with neat diagram.
    (b) What are symmetric processor ? Explain with appropriate example.
Section-E5 each
9. Write short notes on any two of the following :
    (i) SCSI Hard disks
    (ii) Ports
    (iii) Intel 810 processor
    (iv) USB
